The Michael Schenker is a guitar based hard rock band which was found in 1979 by UFO and Scorpions former guitarist Michael Schenker. In 1986, Robin McAulery and Mr. Schenker formed the McAuley Schenker until they went their seperate ways in 1993. Three years later the band was reformed into the Michael Schenker Group.
The Michael Schenker has been described as a melodic hard rock with very progressive undertones. Mr. Schenker’s signature half-white, half-black Gibson Flying V and unorthodox style has lead him to the fame he has now. His sponsor which is Dean Guitars are well known for the neo-classical genre as well.
