SoulJazz of Fortune is a Southern California Band with veteran and young talented musicians that play a hybrid of Dance, R&B, Latin, Soul, Rock, Smooth Jazz, Reggae and Funk. The Band was established in 2007 by Benjamin Menancio and Alex Gonzalez. The core band members have been playing together over 10 years including Chaz Cabrera on Sax, keyboards and vocals, Alex Gonzalez on Vocals, Drums and Percussion, Johnny Lopez on Guitar and Vocals, Rich Hale on Keyboards, Nelson Guzman on Percussion, Duayne Christopherson on Drums, Vince Cabrera on Bass Guitar and Julian Davis on Trumpet.
The Band has played at many venues from The Temecula Jazz Festival, Murrieta Summer Concert series, Wineries, Weddings, Clubs including Corporate and Private events. As Recording Artists, SoulJazz of Fortune has released 2 Albums, Soulset in 2008 with great reviews and recently “Midnight Cruise” which showcases the diverse styles of music and influence the band has experienced. SoulJazz of Fortune performances create a mix of great music consisting of good grooves, danceable rhythms and showmanship that uplifts and entertains any audience.
