The Local Scene isn’t how it used to be, pre-filled venues just don’t exist anymore. Patrons will not come to a venue unless they are informed that an artist they like will be there. We would like to give local artists a place to showcase their music, however nobody wants to play for an empty house. Therefore, It is the responsibility of each performer to bring their OWN following and promote their upcoming performances.
Here is a list of ways to promote:
1. Post on Myspace and Facebook- Events
2 Email Wal at the IE Weekly to put it on the calendar section at: Calendar@IEweekly.com
3. Post on Craigslist - Event Section
4. Email Skinnie Magazine to put in their calendar at: Update@skinniemagazine.com
5. Post on Epitunes.com
6. Post on SocalRocks.com
7. Post on Eventful.com
8. Post on Upcoming.yahoo.com
